Episode 6 Summary: Special Guest Co-Host Kathee Sewell joins Dave to discuss the Schedules program from the GSA offeror/contractor and the GSA Contracting Officer perspectives. What does the GSA CO do at the Schedules contract pre-award and post-award stages so that the ordering agency doesn't have to? Kathee makes the startling revelation that GSA actually awards and administers a real government contract that any Federal government Contracting Officer would recognize. We also examine what a firm needs to do to obtain and retain a GSA Schedule contract. The more ordering agency Contracting Officers know about the Schedule contract and the GSA pre-award and post-award processes the better prepared they will be to award orders and BPAs against those Schedule contract vehicles.

I am new to contracting and find these podcasts very interesting and enlightening. I especially like the ones with Dave Clemens and Kathee Sewell as co-hosts. They seem to bring a lot of enthusiam to the podcast and are upbeat. From these co-host I get the feeling that contracting is a fun and rewarding career field in which I am excited to be a part of.

Wow, again what can I say? The Dave-Kathy show is great. Some of the other podcasts have been a little on the sober side but Dave and Kathy sure make a boring subject entertaining.
Good job. Make Kathy a permanent co-host.

Umm, thanks Cowboy for your support.
Kathee Sewell couldn't have said it better herself. And maybe she has.

Another outstanding podcast. I have learned so much about the Schedules program listening to these podcasts. I never really knew what went into the award process but Kathee and Dave both did an outstanding job explaining it. My vote is to keep both as co-hosts.
